I recently decided that I should take some self-portraits.  Look me, Evan Uribe, up on facebook and there are not a ton of creative photos of myself.  So as a way to stay creative, fresh, and adventurous and get some neat pictures, I decided to take these.  If you want to see the photos as they happen, make sure you check out the Lumen Photography fan page and become a fan.

A little narrative for each photo:

1. I love milk.  I’m also a quirky guy; so, this is the resulting photo.  Unfortunately, skim milk didn’t really stay in my fledgling beard so I had to use half-and-half.  Yuck.
2. I love bow ties.  You’ll probably see them quite a few times through out the following year.
3. Taken at a wedding I was shooting.  Since I’m a working professional, a decent number of my self-portraits may be at events – I’ll always try to make them unique though
4. The photo for this day was supposed to be much more active but I ended up being lazy and sleepy.
5. I’m a big biker.  I love racing, building my own bikes, and commuting as many places as I can on bikes.
6. Probably my favorite photo of this first batch.  Despite the fact that it was 40 degrees outside, I wanted to do a photo with water… ice cold water.  Here is the result – crazy no?
7. Introducing my doggy – Jessie.  There is nothing better than coming home to her, had a bad day?  No worries a dog will cheer you up!
8. It’s fall, a somewhat creepy fall portrait to suit.
