August first and the legalization of same sex marriage in Minnesota is finally upon us!  We had the opportunity to join in and capture  the festivities yesterday night at the Wilde Roast Cafe before heading over to city hall at midnight for the first gay marriage in Minnesota.  The best part of being at the Wilde Roast yesterday night was the power that was present in the room.  Unadulterated joy, camaraderie, a feeling of adventure, and friendly people everywhere.  It seems everyone was there from Scott Dibble and other same sex marriage in Minnesota amendment cosigners (click here to view our coverage of that joyous  day) to future mayoral candidates and a plethora of other people celebrating an event that has been long overdue!  There was cake and dancing along with hugs to random strangers!  Enjoy these photos and make sure to check out part two of our coverage including the first same sex marriage in Minnesota at the Minneapolis City Hall!
