It is THAT time of the year again – time for our second annual adventurous Wedding and Portrait Contest! The free wedding photography contest/ portrait contest will begin on the 1st of December. The gist of the contest is to submit a photo to the app on our facebook page (this will be linked on the first) along with an idea for your adventurous wedding or portrait session. Then spread the word to your friends, family, and acquaintances, they’ll be able to vote for you once an hour for those 14 days. At the end, whoever has the most votes will win our $3500 wedding or portrait package. Neat, huh? Here is a link to our blog post about it last year.
When I say adventurous, this can mean many things. You could want to have your photos taken while sky diving or on top of a volcano but it doesn’t have to necessarily mean that. We’re looking for creative ideas, things you always wanted to try but never found someone to facilitate your idea, ideas that are unique. Anything goes – underwater family photos? Perfect. Wedding photos on a train – let’s get rolling. A destination wedding at an exotic monastery in a rarely heard of portion of the world, I cannot wait! Submit your ideas, get everyone you know to vote, and above all vote often!

Winning Submission
Each vote for a photo is an entry to win the contest. The more votes your idea/photo has, the higher the probability that you will win.
Eligibility
To enter, you must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident (green card). Current wedding clients and immediate family are not eligible to win the $3500.00 package. Immediate family includes only spouses, parents and children.
Multiple Votes per Person
You may enter the free wedding photography contest only once but you and your friends may vote once per hour for your submission.
Inappropriate Content
Obscene, provocative, or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. We retain sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
Dangerous Content
Dangerous session ideas and content that is threatening to life or limb may not be considered. We retain the sole discretion to adjust the session idea in order to maintain the safety of our clients and personnel.
Rights
By entering the contest, entrants agree to have their submitted name displayed on our website and used by us for any purpose, at any time, without any fee or other form of compensation. We reserve the right to disqualify users, without notice, and for any reason.
Important Misc.
– Wedding package, if won, is eligible to be used for any open dates Lumen Photography has. Lumen Photography will not rebook a previously contracted wedding for the contest winner.
– Wedding package must be used within two years or offer will be voided. Portrait package must be used within six months or offer will be voided.
– Portrait package may include winner and a maximum of five additional people.
– $3500 will include standard Lumen Wedding Package. Portrait session includes two sessions, Lumen Canvas Collection, and Digital Files.
– For out-of-state contestants, and contestants more than 100 miles from the Twin Cities, all travel expenses must be covered by winner/client.
– Winner must utilize their entry idea in the session.
– All incidental costs, such as entrance fees, etc., must be covered by the winner.
– Offer is not redeemable for cash, credit, or any other monetary compensation.
– Offer is nontransferable. Only good for direct winner.
– The offer becomes valid if there are over 30 entrants to the contest.
