so, i’d like to present the first engagement session/couple to get married of the 2011 season – alex and ye!  man o’ man did we have a good time at this session, what a great way to kick off the new year. we started off down at the ids tower in downtown minneapolis because it was cold and uber windy outside last sunday.  we had to be somewhat sneaky because usually there are security guards around who will ask you to move along if your photographing too long! luckily though, we got all of our awesome pics done before a security guard politely asked us to move to a different location.  afterwards, we took a quick stroll along the upper levels and the sky ways to the baker center where we had a little more privacy and opportunity to take some awesomesauce pictures!  here with the long hallways and fancy glass everywhere alex and ye shined.  they really came into their own and took some great pictures here.  after a quick break we mosied our way over to the sky way again for some more traditional photos and natural light work that turned out some of my favorite pictures including the hand holding photo and the kiss with a lil’ flare pic.  quickly and sneakily darting our way through the ids center we dashed our way outside into the blistering cold for the last pictures of the day.  out on nicolette ave with the big buildings and afternoon sunlight we took some really neat photos including some great middle of the street kiss before the light turns green and traffic comes pictures!  last but not least over by the wells fargo building we  got  some cute natural pics where alex and ye really seem to just be… themselves!  those are the photos which are always most valuable in my opinion.  then, it got to cold and we all scurried back inside to the safety and warmth of the ids tower!  overall, a freaking perfect start to the new year and the wedding photography new year!  alex and ye, i hope you love the pics and i can’t wait till next weekend for your wedding!
