this last weekend i got the “ultimate” (pun intended) pleasure of working with a friend of mine from st. olaf college – andrea.  andrea and her fiance are currently out on the east coast but were able to come back to the twin cities for a quick engagement session.   we started off over at lake calhoun for some fun beach/water pics.  i was lucky that their good friend kaitlyn was able to come along because she was awesome at teasing them (funny phone apps anyone?) and getting genuine smiles.  not to mention she was kind enough to hold some of my lights for a few shots.  from the beach we meandered through up town to the mar-10 ramp on marquette street in minneapolis.  unable to find a parking spot till the roof, we eventually made it up and decided to have an impromptu fashion session on the top level.  it worked out phenomenally with the neat backgrounds regardless of the confused looks we received from early morning garage goers.  last, we hopped over to loring park for some of my fav pics of the day.  both andrea and jesse are incredibly good and dedicated ultimate frisbee players.  jesse, much to andrea’s dismay, really wanted a picture of them “laying out” (diving to the laymen among us) for the disc.  he got his wish.  we got a sweet pic and he ended up with a scraped elbow; though, he does assure me it was totally worth it.  afterwards we toured the uptown diner for a greasy spoon type breakfast.  all in all a great friday morning that i got to spend with some cool people.  andrea and all ya other med school applicants – good luck with your apps and whatnot!  jesse, don’t tear up those rental cars you get too much.
