engagement | sara and barry | minneapolis, mn

it’s getting to be that time of year yall, the wedding season is picking up in earnest!  that means more blog posts as i really get into it.  opening the flood gates for this season is a really awesome couple – sara and barry.  the day we chose to shoot was supposed to rain but luckily mother nature decided to hold off on the rain till after our session was done.  we started up nice and early over by joe’s garage off of hennepin in downtown minneapolis.  on one of my many biking explorations of minneapolis i found this awesome little alley with cobblestone and great brick buildings.  we got my favorite image of the day in that alley!  it’s the close up of sara and barry kissing!  you can’t miss it.  anyhoo, afterwards we took a quick drive on over to the mill city area where the minneapolis marathon was just wrapping up.  we meandered around that area for a while taking awesome pics left and right.  then… then a great opportunity arose and i’m glad to say that sara and barry were down for the challenge!  after politely asking a minneapolis police officer if we could “borrow” his cruisers hood for a few moments (and his enthusiastic yes!) sara and barry proceeded to have a passionate kiss on the hood of a mpd car.  it was awesome and the humor behind the photo makes this one of my favorites from the day.  after that we dropped on over to tugs on st. anthony’s main for a quick drink break and then wrapped up the day on the nicolette island bridge!  overall a phenomenal day with some great images to boot.  shooting with sara and barry was  a blast and i can’t wait till their wedding day to see what fun is in store for us!

Great Job taking unique shots at a very popular area. I’m sure they will love them.
