heyo heyo,

so, today i’ve got some awesome fashion images for you!  i’d like to introduce you to mz. chelsey.  she’s pretty much awesome.  i had honestly met her only a few weeks ago and we had never hungout.  she had mentioned that she was a photog and of course, being the crazy photog myself, thought to myself “we should hangout.”  so, fast-forward to a few days ago.  i got some neato new lighting gear that i was really itching to tryout and get a handle on… but… i need someone to try it out on!  well, chelsey was kind enough to volunteer so we had an uber-good fashion session today.  it was awesome outside which was perfect cause i had envisioned setting up chelsey in front of some huge buildings in downtown minneapolis thereby creating an epic photo! :  )

we got down there… it started out rough cause of course my gear wasn’t cooperating with me.  bummer huh?  i had to run back to the car and grab my pocket wizards (funny little radios to trigger my flashes) and then it all started to fall into place.  this was chelsey’s first time modeling and i’m sure it was awkward for her to have me, some guy she hadn’t known all that long, to be saying to her: “more sexy!!! more sexy!!!  purse your lips a little bit more, or stick your hip out like you’ve got a bit of an attitude.”  but… she took it all in stride and i can say that she was pretty darn laid back and that made my job a lot easier.  anyhoo, after a few sketchy moments when some fellows were hanging around suspiciously and sketchily (that a word?) watching us, we got into a good groove.  it was… groovey?  yea.  well, towards the end of the session chelsey really got the hang of modeling with the intense gaze, good posing, relaxed attitude (and you thought modeling was easy!).  the last picture in this set is my favorite, without a doubt.  it’s got it all.  the wind picked up at just the right moment, great expression and pose, with some nice lighting and it all came together!
