Whenever I have the privilege of doing a destination wedding, like Elaine and Eric’s in Colorado, I love to add a few days of personal travel afterwards. Colorado, being the beautiful state that it is had a plethora of options. That being said, there was a 1000 year storm that led to a lot of destruction and problems in and around the mountain front range. I took some photos so you can get an idea of what was happening around the area. After things started to calm down and roads opened up again, I made my way out to Breckenridge to run/hike a 14er! It was a tough workout but once I made the view was spectacular, you can see some examples of what it looked like at the top from my instagram! While running up a rocky road/trail, these three jeeps passed me. They were nice enough to offer me a refill on my water bottle before continuing to the summit! A while later when I had finally made it, we got to conversing and I learned about jeeping, the activity where you take your jeep and offroad it up a mountain or on some crazy off-road situations. This set of couples, from California, was nice enough to give me a ride back down. The short version is… I want to get a jeep now and go jeeping. It was so much fun and if the community in general is half as nice as these guys, then they’re quite lucky! Afterward, I went back to Denver to visit with and stay with a few friends from high school and meet some new friends! Overall, a phenomenal and adventurous photography trip with lots of good memories and photos! Thanks to everyone who made it memorable.
