music | bright light and heroes | minneapolis, mn

long time no blog post,

i know it’s been a while and for that i apologize.  school gets hectic and all of a sudden no blog posts, it won’t happen again!  anyhoo, on to business.  this last january i got a great opportunity to go with a good friend of mine – john palmer – to go see his band in action at the fine line in downtown minneapolis.  his band, bright lights and heroes, is a great mix of alternative/u2.  they write a lot of their own music and i’m very excited in seeing where they’re gonna go in the next few years.  if your interested in checking them out, go see their myspace page.

at the show, i was pleasantly met by a full house of people waiting to see the performers.  bright lights and heroes was the first group to go on and boy did they ever rock the show.  by the end of their set they had the entire house flooding to the stage in a mass of people.  the concert was vaguely reminiscent of u2 with john palmer rocking it out on the guitar.  Reece Lamppa, the lead singer, did a great job that night as he sang a great show riling up the crowd into a frenzy of music induced euphoria.  Dan Rosenbush, a really sick bass player, kept the beat moving with some great base licks.  Last but not least, Peter Barnes, the drum player, played a solid show and helped pump the crowd up with his awesome skills on the drum-set.

enough of my blabbering though.  i hope you dig these photos.  leave some love in the comment section.
