this was an awesome little engagement session at a location i had never been to before.  over near lake harriet, many people know about the rose garden but a more unknown but equally beautiful location is the rock/peace garden.  it’s an awesome little area that is incredibly picturesque and everyone should for sure check it out.  the great thing about this session is that betsy helped to garner the funding for the garden so it held a special location in her heart for her.  anyhoo, on the day of this session is was incredibly hot so we decided to start off on some of the paths to keep cool.  gary and betsy were naturals right off the bat.  they basically forgot about the camera and joked around together, in the process getting some awesome natural expressions.  afterwards we took a stroll through the gardens and over to the rose gardens to some special spots of betsy’s.  unbeknownst to me, betsy had been running this same route that we took for a long time so it held a lot of sentimental value – on top of being perfect for pics!  my personal favorite were the pics of gary and betsy chilling under her favorite tree in the rose garden area.  both gary and betsy just look so happy and comfortable with each other.  i can’t wait to shoot your wedding this next week!
