Ole’s Ole’s everywhere! The last few weddings that I’ve had the privilege to photograph have all been St. Olaf Alumni – I guess they have a thing for adventurous wedding photography. Let me introduce you to the newly minted Matt and Megan Friedrichsen. The day started off early over at Megan’s parents house for some prep and dress shots. We left the Western Suburbs for St. Paul nice and early which was very lucky due to the car accident on 494 – that road was literally a parking lot. Luckily, everyone in the bridal party got to the church with plenty of time to spare for photos. Despite it being an uber hot day, the ceremony went off without a hitch in the St. Paul Cathedral which is easily one of the most gorgeous churches in the Twin Cities.
From there, we started a few group pictures outside on the steps! It’s always nice when you’ve got a bridal party who wants fun images that aren’t your standard lineups. While harder to organize, I like to think that the payoff is well worth it! After a few intimate bride and groom portraits, Matt and Megan hopped in the awaiting car to head over to 413 Wacouta (which is an awesome venue for any brides looking for a fun place for their reception). Delicious food, drinks, and great company where all present along with some awesome speeches and dances! Matt and Megan and all the friends and family who were present, thank you a million times over for being gracious and welcoming! I think you’ll be really pleased with your wedding photos!
